Established in 1997, International Montessori School is a non-profit, independent school located in central North Carolina approximately 10 minutes south of Duke University and fifteen minutes north of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. We are seeking an energetic teacher-leader who is eager to expand his or her career into the leadership side of a Montessori school as our Director of Programs. The Director of Programs works collaboratively with the Head of School and is tasked with maintaining the integrity and quality of the Montessori programs. In addition, the Director of Programs will teach English Language Arts to our Upper Elementary French and Spanish Immersion students six hours a week as part of the Upper Elementary teaching team.

Qualifications

  • Montessori certification at the early childhood and elementary levels from a MACTE-accredited program
  • Seven to ten years of combined classroom experience across levels
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, or Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable, but not required.

Job Summary

The Children’s House Lead is directly responsible for the organization, establishment, and maintenance of a new classroom at Renaissance Montessori. The Lead candidate must be Montessori Certified through a MACTE approved training program.

 Setting up a new classroom with the guidance of staff.

 Understanding and promoting the school’s mission, vision and goals with families, community and other staff members.

Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School seeks a full-time Montessori certified Primary Lead Teacher (3 to 6 year olds).

The School is comprised of two separate educational entities. The Academy is a tuition-based prekindergarten that serves children ages 3-5.

The Charter School is a public charter school that serves kindergarten through eighth grades. Children in the Academy share classes with kindergarten students in the charter school and are guided in their development by a trained Montessori Lead Teacher and a full time assistant. The Primary program is a full day, five-days- a-week program which serves a total of 200 students. About 720 students currently attend Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School.

Required skills/experience:
